Northern Arizona University New Distance Learning Facility, Flagstaff, AZ
This project consists of 24,812 sq. ft. of new construction along with 9,420 sq. ft. of renovations to the existing Communications building on NAU’s central campus. New construction is a three story steel structure with a stone and aluminum panel mix on the exterior skin and connects to the existing building. This new building will have classrooms, faculty offices and a new television studio.
Renovations to the existing building will be to the office areas and to the existing Master Control Room for the existing television studios. New chilled water lines and a steam line tunnel will be brought to the building from existing campus utilities. The existing road will be removed and a new road will be built while maintaining bus and pedestrian traffic. A Solar Wall and a Green Screen wall are being incorporated into the project.
This project is registered with the US Green Building Council and is seeking Silver Certification.
